CAPE TOWN – Crime and crime prevention will be a hot topic for politicians in the run-up to next year’s general elections.
According to the South African Gun Owners Association (SAGA), 10% of SAPS firearms have been reported as lost or stolen over the past two decades, while 9.5m rounds of ammunition have gone missing since 2016.
